The 26th Annual Astros Foundation College Classic returns to Daikin Park from February 27 - March 1, 2026 and the lineup is stacked. Coastal Carolina, Texas, UTSA, Ole Miss, Baylor and Ohio State will take the field for the nine-game tournament. The Buckeyes and Roadrunners kick the tournament off followed by the Bears and Rebels. The national runner-up Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and SEC champion Texas Longhorns close out day one of the 3-day tournament at 7:05 pm Friday night. Single day tickets and three-day tournament packages will go on sale for the 2026 tournament at a later date.

2016 National Champions

The 2016 Coastal Carolina baseball team made history with one of the most remarkable Cinderella runs in college sports. Under head coach Gary Gilmore, the Chanticleers entered the NCAA Tournament as underdogs but fought their way through a gauntlet of powerhouse programs. They captured the Conway Regional, upset LSU in the Baton Rouge Super Regional, and then shocked the nation in Omaha by winning the College World Series. Coastal defeated Arizona in a thrilling three-game championship series to secure the school’s first-ever national championship in any sport, cementing the 2016 squad as legends in program history and a symbol of perseverance, grit, and belief.
